Sara Elizabeth Coffey married John Wesley Higginbotham, Jr. , 12 Dec 1878, Wayne, Lincoln County, Kentucky. John was 28 and Elizabeth was 16 when they married. John Wesley and Sarah Elizabeth were 3rd cousins. They had 5 children:

Joseph Harden "Joe" (1889-1969)
Ara "Pearl" (1894-1983)
William H. "Bill" (1901-1974)
Anna Margaret (1906-1923)

At the 1920 Census, Elizabeth and John were living in Cordell, Washita County, Oklahoma. The only child still at home in 1920 was Annie who was 13 years old. Annie died at the age of 17 five days after the birth of her daughter Margaret Louise Wyatt . Elizabeth and John both died in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.

At the time of Elizabeth's death, her son Joseph Harden lived in Concord, California, her daughter Pearl lived in McLennan, Texas, and her son William "Bill" lived in Los Angeles County, California.
