Elsie May Hamlin, 84, of Union Township, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at her residence. She was born October 9, 1934 in Revelo, Kentucky, son of the late Bud and Redda West. She was the widow of the late Archie Jess Hamlin, who passed away in 2002. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Elsie was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Church. Her first priority was her children with her devotion to church being a close second.

She is survived by her children, David Hamlin and wife Wanda, Patty Perry and husband Steve, Scott Hamlin and partner, Ron Bumgardner, Rhonda Hughes and husband Russell; grandchildren, Brian, Craig, Angie, Amy, Stephanie, Brittany, Matthew, Gracie, Kelsie, Devin and Matthew; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:00 AM, until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 26, 2019 at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home, 177 W. Main St. (SR 125), Amelia with Pastor Larry Baker will be officiating. Burial will follow at Tate Township Cemetery in Bethel.
