LA PORTE -- Mrs. Carrie E. Piest, 80, of 1515 Jefferson Ave., died at 3 a.m. today in E St. Division La Porte Hospital. She was born on April 13, 1888, in La Porte County. She was married on Nov. 28, 1907, to William F. Piest, who died in 1956. Surviving are nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Otto E. Giese Funeral Home, Rev. Victor Frohne, pastor of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Tuesday in the funeral home.
