He was born March 28, 1909 in Heyworth, the son of William and Lillian Jones Andes.
On Feb. 14, 1934, in Mt. Auburn, he married Marjorie Bramel, who preceded him in death Nov. 15, 1964.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Martin (Alice) Sanchez, Bradenton; two sons, Bill and Duane, both of Woodstock; five grandchildren; and a brother, Theodore "Ted", San Francisco, Calif.
He also was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
He resided in Woodstock for 26 years before retiring in Florida.
He farmed in the Woodstock area and was retired from the Illinois Tollway System.
Funeral services and burial were in Mount Auburn. Arrangements were made by Dawson and Wikoff funeral home, Mt. Auburn.
