Dr. John Bunyon Allen age 79, died Nov. 20, 1934 at his home at Wolf, OK. He was the son of Joseph B. Allen b: KY and Fannie Higgins b: KY. Services were held Nov. 22nd at the Wolf schoolhouse. Dr. Allen had been a practicing physician from the age of twenty-one years. He had been located in the Seminole oil fields for the past eight years, coming here from Picher. Burial was at the Wolf Cem. under the supervision of Chadwick Funeral home. Doctor Allen was survived by his 2nd wife, Martha ?, four daughters and two sons, and eight step-children. The daughters were Mrs. America Ehrstine, Flint, Mich: Mrs. Laura Reed, Sand Springs, Tulsa Co., OK; Mrs. Conzaley Hall, Flint Mich; and Mrs. Florence Threlkeld, San Francisco. The sons were Floyd D. Allen, Arkansas City, Kansas, and Grover C. Allen, Kansas City, Missouri. Three sons Leslie, Taylor, Joseph and 1 daughter Louly preceded him in death. His first wife and mother of his children, Eveline McDaniel Allen preceded him in death Apr. 7, 1925 and is buried in the G.A.R. Cem. in Miami, Ottawa Co., OK. next to her daughter Laura Allen Reed Murray.
