Loretta Mae Shobe, age 86, Tiff City, MO, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the Grand Wood Nursing Center, Grove, OK.

Mae was born February 13, 1933 in Savory, AR, to the late Kenny Burleson and Fern Weldon Burleson.

She married the love of her life Jay Shobe, on June 13,1953 in Neosho, MO. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2017.

Together they owned and operated Shobe Service Station in Tiff City. They also raised cattle and farmed together.

Mae’s hobbies included Quilting, Crocheting, and embroidering. She loved to cook for her family.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Burleson.

She leaves behind two children, William Clayton Shobe, Tiff City, MO, and Douglas Ray Shobe and wife, Ella, Grove, OK; two sisters, Vivian Smith and Shirley Page; six brothers, Melvin, Lee, Ralph, Bob, Danny, and Larry Burleson. Mae was blessed with four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services are planned for Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in the Worley-Luginbuel Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Brother Danny Burleson and Chaplain Mark Lavin will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Olympus Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK.
