HODGES - Charlie Aiken, 68, of 211 N. Hodges School Road, husband of Hattie Butler Aiken, died January 30 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood County January 9, 1935, a son of the late Fletch er Aiken and Cornelia Tolbert Aiken and stepson of Mrs. Douglas Aiken. He was a member of Mount Zion A. M. E. Church, Hodges, where he served as Steward of Class 11, retiree from Monsanto and veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Surviving is his wife of the home, his stepmother of Due West; two sons, Charlie Dennis (Josie) Aiken of Greenwood and Ronnie H. (Sieglinde) Aiken of Augusta, Ga.; two daughters, Alfreda A. (Wade) Kennedy of Laurens and Althea M. Aiken of Hodges; four brothers, Willie Ray (Pauline) Aiken, Alvin Aiken, Roy Frank (Brenda) Aiken, Darryl (Janie) Aiken of Due West; two sisters, Mary Jean (William) Davis and Effie (Mack) Gladden of Honea Path; 10 grandchildren, Ryan, Andre, Rodena, Michael, Jasmin, Wade Jr., Antwuan, Denise, LaTasha, Cedrik and 9 great-grandchildren.
