Her obituary reads: "Mrs. Kay Low Gble, 77, passed away on March 4, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born July 31, 1940 in Greenville, the daughter of the late Fletcher and Mary Lea Duke Low. She was a 1959 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Greenville. She was an administrative assistant with USF&G Insurance in Greenville when she met her future husband, Mr. John Clifton Gable. They married June 16, 1963, in Greenville and were married for 49 years. USF&G Insurance carried both Kay and John to Jackson and Clinton. She and John later moved to Meridian, where Kay was a Teacher's Assistant in the Meridian Public School District, where she taught computer technology. She later worked as an administrative assistant for the Mississippi Rehabilitation for the Blind in Meridian. Kay and John retired back to West Point where she was a communicant at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mrs. Kay enjoyed flower gardening, scrapbooking, home decorating, cross stitching, and sewing. She was a very artistic person and could often be described as "one of a kind." In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her husband John, who passed away April 24, 2013.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jeff Shannon officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include Daughter, Kelly Gable Conway of Tupelo; One Granddaughter, Claire Conway West (Bailey) of Birmingham, AL; Two Great Grandchildren: Everett West and Evelynn West both of Birmingham, AL; Three Sisters, Sandra McGaugh of Greenville, Judy Cannon (James) of Greensboro, GA, and Penny Crowson of Tupelo; Step-Mother Alice Low; Step-Sister, Mary Otwell (Steve); and Step-Brother, Ronnie Kersh all of Wilmot, AR; and Two Feline Companions, Putty and Precious.
