Lowell was the beloved husband of Marie and loving father of Ann (David) Grupczynski and James (Donna) Peterson. He was the cherished grandfather of Brian (Linsey) Grupczynski, Mark (Dana) Grupczynski and Kelly ( Matt) Speck; and the proud great-grandfather Dylan, Chase, Aidan, Willa and Laila.
Lowell proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was very active in local politics and was on the Plymouth Road Development Authority as well as the Livonia Cable Commission. Lowell was received the First Citizen of Livonia award in 1988.
There will be a Memorial Visitation on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, Located at 7707 Middlebelt Road South of Ann Arbor Trail in Westland from 3:30 p.m. until the time of his Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m.

Lowell will be buried at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Manistee, Michigan at a later date.
