Robert was born on September 22, 1934 in Washington to H. Blanche(Lee)Thombleson and James Henry Thombleson.
He retired from Daviess County Highway Dept. He was also a member of the Glendale Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Joy(Hudson)Thombleson of Washington, whom he married on October 7, 1977; two sons, Jeffrey Lee Thombleson of Plainville and Scott(Lori)Thombleson of Bloonfield, Indiana; daughter, D. Michelle Belcher of Washington; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Paul W. Thombleson and William J. Thombleson.
Friends and family may call between 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Ed Lee Mortuary Downtown Chapel, followed by a graveside service that will beled by Byron Holtsclaw at 1:30 p.m. at Bethany Cemetery.
