She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was born on September 23, 1931 to Earl Dyton and Loressie Miller McLendon in Moorefield, Arkansas. She was united in marriage with James E. Street of Cave City on May 14, 1949. James and Nannie have been members of Central Avenue United Methodist Church since 1956. They were co-owners of Street Auto and Tractor Sales in Batesville for 35 years. They owned and operated Street Family Farms, with farms In Batesville, Cave City and Calamine. In 2016, the farm at Calamine was recognized as a century farm by the Arkansas Department of Agriculture having been in the family since 1853.
Nannie Laura was preceded in death by her parents and her only sister, Lorene McLendon Reynolds of Benton. Survivors include James E. Street, her husband of 70 years; two sons, James Mack Street (Marcia) of Cave City and Steve Street (Cathy) of Hot Springs; five grandchildren, James Marc Street (Sara) of Cave City, Jessica Street of Centerton, Timothy Street (Katie) of Taylorsville, Georgia, Rachel Street of Springdale, Claire Street of Conway; four great-grandchildren, Morgan and Evan Street of Cave City, Jaxon and Scarlett Street of Taylorsville, Georgia, plus several nieces and nephews.
Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Central Avenue United Methodist Church Batesville, Arkansas on Sunday, September 1, 2019 with Rev. Paul Seay and Rev. John Sanders officiating.
Pallbearers will be members of the Omega Sunday School Class, John and Carol Kelley, Delmus and Virble Caraway, Mary Trice Penn, Lyla Mae Williams, Debbie Evans, Dr. Bill Waldrip, Dr. Lackey Moody, David and Jill Carr.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 31 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
