A graduate of Sumner High and Washington State University, where he earned a degree in Horticulture.

Was a Navy Veteran of World War II

Retired poultry farmer and raspberry grower.

He was a long time member and supporter of the Sumner Presbyterian Church and was a pioneer member of the Sumner Rotary Club, Masonic Lodge and the Puyallup Elks Lodge.

Served many years as a Fire Commissioner for the Sumner Fire Dept.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Marion Foster.
