Steve was born November 17, 1921 in Burley, Idaho, to Andrew and Margaret Antone, and passed away April 19, 2014 in Draper, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Helen, his son Steven K. Antone, Step-son Randal A. Hunt and his sister, Dorothy.
He is survived; by his wife of 35 years, Diane, Step-daughter, Jill (Ken) Perkins, Daughter in law Shiela Antone, Grandchildren, Morgan (Lisa) Perkins, Ashley (Nick) Larsen, Steven Brenner Antone, Marley Kae Antone; Great-grandchildren, Taylor, Sophie Amelia and Finn and his sisters, Marie, Helen, Nadine, Linda and Bonnie.
Steve graduated with honors from Heyburn High School. He served during World War II with the 15th Airforce, flying 25 missions as a radio operator/waiste gunner in a B17 Liberator, flying missions out of Gioia, Italy into the heart of Germany. After the war, he returned to Southern Idaho, where he returned to farming. He was elected to the Idaho House of Representatives in 1969, where he served until 1996; most of the time running for office unopposed. During his tenure, he spent 6 terms as Chairman of the Revenue and Taxation Committee. He received many awards including Statesman of the Year for 1983, Boyd A Martin Award in 1984, and Outstanding Public Service Award for 1997. Steve was a member of the Masonic Order for more than 50 years. Steve was justifiably proud of his garden, which produced copious amount of produce each year. He enjoyed upland gamebird and migratory bird hunting. Was also an ardent arrow-head collector, with impressive collections to prove it. He was a concerned and dedicated husband, father, stepfather who enjoyed time with his family.
