"Mrs. Martha Applegate, aged 68, of Smithburg, died on Monday, February 8,1943, at Marlboro State Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Clark E Applegate, one daughter, Mrs. Louise Thompson, Allentown; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held yesterday at 3 PM at the Clayton Funeral Home, Adelphia, with the Rev. Robert Childs, pastor of the Ely Church, officiating.
