Funeral services for Althea Viola Parsons will be at noon, Wednesday, January 23, 2002, at Angleton Missionary Baptist Church, 777 N. Arcola St. in Angleton with pastor Benjamin Pomales officiating.

Burial will be in Restwood Cemetery in Lake Jackson, Texas.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2002, at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas.

Mrs. Parsons was born October 18, 1913, to Lillie and Albert Ferguson in Limestone County, Texas, and left to be with her Savior on Sunday, January 20, 2002.

Althea lived in Angleton for 46 years and was a member of Northway Baptist Church. She loved her family and she loved her Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Wesley C. Parsons; daughter Jo Ann Parsons Crist; brothers, Garvis and Guy Ferguson; sister, Vela Day; mother and father-in-law, Mark and Arelda Parsons; and other cherished loved ones.

She is survived by her sons, Billy Parsons and wife Gayle and Wesley R. Parsons both of Angleton; daughter, Caron Wise and husband Lee of Helotes; sister, Lena Brooks of Deer Park; brother, Curtis Ferguson of Baytown; grandchildren, Sherrie Crist Williamson and husband Richard, Michael Crist and wife Emi, Bo Crist, Jerry Crist and wife Heidi, Mark Parsons and wife Sarah, Steve Parsons and wife Christene, Teri Visor and husband Bruce, Jeff Holt and wife Sherri, Tracy Delesandro and husband Jay, Todd Penick and wife Elaine, Gary Penick, Melody Blocker and husband Billy, Bret Wise and wife Tammy, Judi Weaver, Kim Leoanard and husband J.R., Jim and Berney Wise, Ryan Parsons and wife Amanda and Megan Parsons; great-grandchildren, Nicole Althea, Samantha Althea, Rebecca, Zenzo, Lindsey, Lezley, Lauren, Amanda Beth, Matthew, Kyle, Casey, James, Christopher, Toddy, Emily, Meagan, Sara, Cory, Amie, Travis and Nicole.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Mike Crist, Mark Parsons, Steve Parsons, Todd Penick, Jerry Crist, Berny Wise, Ryan Parsons, Richard Williamson, Bo Crist and Gary Penick.
