Melvyn Lester Cook
On September 1, 2019 Melvyn Lester Cook returned to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father. Melvyn was born April, 26 1948 to John Lester Cook and Lois Anderson Cook in Cedar Fort Utah. He graduated Lehi High School in 1966 then continued his education at Utah State University.
Melvyn was well known for his intellectual abilities, sense of humor and could smooth talk himself in and out of almost anything. Melvyn is most proud of his salesman career at Wheeler Machinery where he exercised his abilities to talk to anyone, making him a success at this profession. It was often said, "Melvyn could sell a ketchup popsicle to women wearing white".
Melvyn will be greeted by his Father and Mother John and Lois Cook, his brother Wallace John Cook, nephew Wade Cook and son Jason John Cook whom all proceeded him death. Melvyn leaves behind his daughters Michelle (Matt) Wood and Stephanie (Brynt) Lindsey, sister Marlene (Duane) Allen, two granddaughters and five grandsons.
Our hearts are full of gratitude to the amazing staff at Abbington Manor Senior Living in Lehi for their years of kindness and incredible comfort making Melvyn feel at home. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a foundation researching Traumatic Brain Injuries, Alzheimer or Dementia.
The family will lay him to rest on Wednesday September 4, 2019 at 3:00pm in the Cedar Fort Cemetery.
