Larry G. Doty, 72, of Paden City, WV died unexpectedly on Monday, September 2, 2019 while in Kill Devil Hills, NC.

Larry was born January 28, 1947 in Wetzel County, WV; son of the late Delbert and Blanche (Mayfield) Doty.

He was a retired carpenter for the former Ormet Corp., a fifty plus year member of the Paden City Volunteer Fire Company, started the Junior Fire Fighters program in Paden City, past president of the Paden City Building Authority, a former police officer for the City of Paden City, served as a board member on the Official Board at church and member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Paden City.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mark Doty.

Surviving are his wife of forty-eight years, Sandra (Casto) Doty; daughter, Meghann (Michael) Ferrell of Charleston, WV; brother, Kevin (Jean Ann) Doty of Paden City, WV; two grandchildren, Amaya and Solomon Ferrell and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Jarvis-Williams in Paden City where services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2019 with Darrell Veyon officiating. Burial to follow in Northview Cemetery.
