Mervle Ray Peck was born April 16, 1936 in Coweta, OK to Sherman and Lucille (Beck) Peck. He attended the Prairie Grove School, where he graduated from high school.

Merv was a journeyman mechanic. He completed forty-six years as an employee of Braden Winch in Broken Arrow, OK before his retirement in 2000.
He enjoyed bowling on the Rose Fellowship Bowling League for many years. He liked baseball and coached Little League.

Merv loved to play music and could play the guitar, bass, harmonica and banjo. Besides playing in church, he was well known as part of the Oklahoma Drifters band. The family enjoyed hearing him play at home as well, especially when musician friends came by to join him. He and Linda were members of the Hillcrest Freewill Baptist Church.

Mervle departed this life Wednesday, September 4, 2019 in Muskogee, OK at the age of 84 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sherman Peck; his mother, Lucille Shewbart; a son, Carl Peck; brother, Troy Peck and sister, Barbara Howard.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Sue (Booth) Peck of Wagoner, OK; sons and their wives, Greg and Cyrilla Peck of Porter, OK and Merle and Carla Peck of Coweta, OK; daughters and their husbands, Donna and David Rector of Coweta, OK and Darlene and Tracy Honea; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Dovie and husband, Bill Carden of Marshall, OK, Merna Hutson and Bernice Tillman, both of Coweta, OK; brothers, Jerry and wife, Linda Peck and Glen and wife, Jo Peck, all of Wagoner, OK

Service: Monday, September 9, 2019 in the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory, Wagoner, OK. Officiating will be the Reverend Francis Burka and and the Reverend Gary Ridley. Interment will is in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers will be Justin Peck, Michael Rector, Ethan Peck, Brandon Peck, David Rector and James Dodson.
