Andrew "Andy or Webb" was the seventh child of Joseph H. (Memorial ID #38359892) and Arriena Minerva "Irene" Shoemaker (Memorial ID #38359931) Hill. He married Martha Jane "Mattie" Spraggins on 17 June 1896 in Travis County, Texas, and they had eight children, Mamie Alma (1898); Bessie C. (1901); Lula Lee (1903); Andy Lafette (1905); Robert L. (1908); George Lester (1910); Hazel Jarvis (1912); and infant son, D. W. (date of birth/death unknown).

Andrew died during treatment in a Lubbock Hospital for the multiple injuries he had received after he was accidentally struck by a passing vehicle in/or near Tahoka, Texas. His body was released for burial on 21 November 1933, in Lubbock, as per the official Texas Death Certificate #51655.

His wife Mattie predeceased him on 30 September 1922 (cause of death unknown) in McCulloch County, Texas and she was buried in the Lohn Cemetery, Lohn, McCulloch County, Texas, according to Lohn Cemetery burial records. As per the 1920 U. S. Federal Census, Andy and his family were residing in Justice Precinct 4, McCulloch County, Texas.
