---Cora Elliott Tate was born September 1, 1878 near Barnesville, Missouri, died November 29, 1931 at the Laughlin Hospital at Kirksville, Missouri. Her death came like a thunderbolt out of a clear sky. She had borne her suffering in silence and great fortitude.
---She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Ora (Dessie) Thurman and one grandson, Robert Clay Thurman, also her eighty-four year old mother, Mrs. Sarah Elliott, one sister, Mrs. D.T. Harris, three brothers, G.V. Elliott, these all of Elmer, J.H. and H.D. Elliott of Atlanta. One brother, Otis and her father preceded her in death several years ago.
---She also left a host of sorrowing friends which was shown by the last respects paid which was conducted at the Baptist Church by Rev. J.M. Hawkins. She will be sadly missed by those she was most near and dear. Interment was made in the Elmer cemetery.
