Bobby E. Wycuff, age 85 of Temple, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019. He was born June 5, 1934 in Alabama City, Alabama, son to the late James Porter Wycuff and Flora Velma Campbell Wycuff. He attended Alabama City High School and he loved Alabama football. He retired from General Motors after more than 3 decades of service.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Dean Hollingsworth Wycuff; son, Bobby V. Wycuff; grandson, Daniel L. Walker; siblings, Charles Wycuff, J.W. Wycuff, Doris Wycuff, Bill Wycuff, Ottis Wycuff, and Bertie Lee Wycuff.
He is survived by son, Larry and Ann Wycuff of Newnan, GA; daughter, Kathy and Michael Lambert of Bowdon, GA; daughter, Glenda and Kevin McCarty of Newnan, GA; grandchildren, Wayne Wycuff, Nicholas Walker, Will Wycuff, Cody Walker, Devin Wycuff, Kayman Duke, Christopher Lambert, Paige Shackleford, Sam McCarty, and Grayson McCarty; and great grandchildren, Elyssa and Chancey Walker, Hunter Wycuff, Kelsey Ann Wycuff, Barrett McCarty, Gracie Thompson, Logan Thompson, and Kyleigh Thompson.
Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Chris Jiles and Rev. J.M. "Buck" Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, September 9, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
