Obituary of Orville Ray Wohlschlegel Sr.
Orville Ray Wohlschlegel Sr., 83, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018. He was born on April 5, 1934 in Louisville, to the late William and Rose Marie Wohlschlegel. Orville was a member of the AMVETS Post 61, the former Tiger’s AC and was a Lutheran by faith. Along with his parents, his siblings, Paul Wohlschlegel, Bud Walker, Allan Wohlschlegel and Mary Rose Ahren have preceded him in death. Here to carry on his memory are his wife of 63 years Joy; children, Ray (Kathy), Mana Jo (Mike); brother in-law, Bud Douglas (Linda); grandchildren, Erica Baynes ( Eric) and Loretta Hellmann; brothers, Carl and Ervin; great grandchildren, Damon and Blake and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place from 2-8pm Friday, March 9th at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A service celebrating Orville’s life will take place at 12pm Saturday, March 10th at the funeral home. The family will start receiving guests Saturday at 11am. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Parkinson’s or Dementia Research.
