Cecilia C. Strouf, age 88, a former resident of 1504 Reed Avenue, Manitowoc, entered into eternal life on Monday, February 20, 2012, at The Court at Felician Village.

Cele was born on January 27, 1924, in Rockwood to the late John and Cecelia Hassemer Meyer. On October 23, 1945, Cele married Arnold M. Strouf in Francis Creek. Arnie preceded her in death on July 26, 2008. Cele was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the St. Clare Society. She enjoyed spending her time sewing, tending to her geraniums, cooking, reading, and being with her family and friends.

Survivors include four children: Jerry (Linda) Strouf, Kiel, Pat Kenyon, Green Bay; Barbara John, Manitowoc; and Diane (Mark) Leonhard, Manitowoc; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Viola (Gerald) Schroeder, Greenleaf, and Florence Wellner; Manitowoc; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cele was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Arnie; son-in-law: Garry John; two sisters: Ann Cisler and Helen Zahorik; and three brothers: Edmund, Julius and Charles Meyer.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo on Friday, February 24, 2012, from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. The Rev. Daniel Felton will officiate with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
Cele's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of The Court of Felician Village and Holy family Memorial Hospice for the care and compassion they provided.
