Teresa Gail McLean passed away on April 14, 2014 in Prineville, Oregon. She was 67. Terry was born on June 10, 1946 in Prineville to parents Scotty and Elinor McLean. She attended Crooked River Grade School, Prineville Junior High School and 2 years at Crook County High School. She finished Junior and Senior years at St. Mary's of the Valley in Beaverton, graduating in 1964. She then attended Western Business School in Portland. Terry worked in offices, living in San Francisco for about a year and in Portland for a number of years. When she moved back to Prineville in 1972, she began working in the office at Scotty's Thriftway, her parents' grocery store, and then as a grocery checker. She loved her job; being able to see her customers every day and enjoying the atmosphere of the grocery business. Some years after Scotty and Elinor sold their grocery store, Terry worked at Erickson's Market. Again, thoroughly loving her job and the people she met daily. Terry volunteered at her church, helped arrange family reunions, and when no longer able to work in the grocery store, volunteered in the community. She is survived by her sisters, Becky Moore (Marv) of West Linn, Oregon, and Rita Malone of Oregon City; nephews, Chuck Moore (Kari), Bothell, Washington, Louis Moore, West Linn; nieces, Sarah Malone, Seattle and Julianne Malone, Portland; great nephew William Moore and great niece Elleanor Moore; Aunt Edna McLean, and many cousins and friends. Terry was preceded in death by her parents Scotty (Norman Douglas) McLean and Elinor Gessner McLean. There will be a rosary on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at 6:00 pm at Prineville Funeral Home 199 NE 10th St. A funeral mass will be Monday, April 21, 2014 at 12:30 pm at St Joseph’s Catholic Church 150 E. 1st St. in Prineville with graveside service following.
