Russell was born June 18, 1934 in Avon Park, FL to the late Russell Brumbaugh, Sr. and Helene (Hutchins) Brumbaugh.
He grew up in Orlando prior to moving to West Palm Beach in 1980.
He married Judy Farmer March 31, 1984 at West Palm Beach, FL. They lived in Belle Glade prior to moving to LaBelle in 1993.
He retired after 33 years from the Florida Army National Guard, 2nd Battalion, 124th Regiment, Orlando.
He was employed by Good Samaritan Hospital, West Palm Beach as the manager of Laundry services. He retired in 1992.
Survivors include his wife: Judy (Farmer) Brumbaugh, son John (Pam) Brumbaugh, Howey-in-the-Hills, daughter Leanne (Raymond) Holton, Winter Springs, stepson David (Kimberly) Duncan, West Palm Beach, brother Samuel (Renee) Brumbaugh, Asheville, NC, sister Karen (Frank) Gray, Richmond, VA, several nieces and nephews.
His grandchildren were the shining stars in his life and they are Courtney, Whitney, Zachary, Wesley, Tanner, Emory and Keaton.
Family services will be held Thursday, Nov. 10, at 1:00 PM a their residence; 62644 Frontier Circle SW., LaBelle, FL
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to Hope Hospice. Arrangements by Akin-Davis Funeral Home-LaBelle.
