BRIDGEPORT - Edgar Cowling, 81, a retired postmaster and rancher, died Tuesday, Jan 22, 2002 in Bridgeport.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport.
Edgar Cowling was born Feb 23, 1920 in Bridgeport. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the United Methodist Church. He was a former school board member of Bridgeport ISD and was the first chairman of the Wise County Appraisal District.
Survivors: Wife, Jane of Bridgeport; daughters Harriet Garrison of Bridgeport and Phyllis Cowling of Amarillo; sons, Edgar Cowling, Jr. of Arlington and Grady Cowling of Bridgeport and seven grandchildren.
