He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Katherine Coker; and brother, Vince Coker.
David was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Tunnel Hill. He was a loving husband and loved his children and grandchildren greatly. He was a truck driver for many years.
Survivors are his wife, Kay Coker of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer & Allen Rogers of Dalton; sons & daughters-in-law, Jeffery & Crystal Coker and Chris & Jennifer Coker, all of Dalton and Andy & Jessica Coker of Tunnel Hill; sisters, Nancy Raikes of Ringgold, Marcelle White of Cohutta, Brenda Sullivan of Ringgold, Darlene Higgins of Varnell and Elaine Cheatham of Smith, Ala.; brothers, Charles Coker of Gilbertville, Ky. and Larry, Benny, John and Dennis Coker, all of Cohutta; grandchildren, Ethan Coker, Matt & Kaylee Rogers, Caden Coker, Drew Coker, Austin Townsend, Erica Endinger and grandson-to-be, Conner Luke Coker; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to honor the life of David Coker will be held Monday, March 19, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Williams and Rev. Tony Hyatt officiating.
