She was one of a family of three children, father W. N. Page and mother Elizabeth Melvina Patton. Her father died when she was about three years old. Her brothers were John J. and William R. Page. Thus it will be seen that deceased was early left to the sole care of a widowed mother. Her early life was that of the average girl of fourty years ago, whom none were rich, when work was honorable to all, and indolence was discreditable to any. She grew to womanhood and remained with her mother until she was 28 years old, to whom she was a constant comfort. In the spring of 1873, she was married to Archibald Ginger, by whom she bore six children, three of whom preceded her to the Spirit Land. She discharged the arduous duties of stepmother, as she did also of mother and wife, with a fidelity seldom equaled.
Some two years ago, under the ministery of Rev. J. Thornton, she embraced the Christian religion, and joined the General Babtist church at Rock Creek, but was destined to enjoy its comforts but for a brief period. Her health was such that she attended church but seldom, but maintained, neverthe less , a constant Christian character to the end, and has gone to her eternal reward. She was laid to rest in the Page Cemetery on the following day of her death, with the Rev. J. Thornton conducting the funeral service. Seceased leaves a husband, three children and two brothers besides a host of relatives to morn her death.
