Emmett J. Koenig, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019 at the age of 86. Loving husband of Virginia L. Koenig; beloved son of the late Anthony J. and Rosella Koenig; devoted father of Robert Koenig, A.J. (Lori) Koenig, James (Jean) Koenig, and Mary R, (James) Orth; dear brother of Eugene Koenig, Elmer (Ida) Koenig, and Bernice Debrock; cherished grandfather of five; and treasured great-grandfather of one. Emmett is also preceded in death by his three sisters, Jeanette Koenig, Gladys Enderle, and Dorothy Glueck.
Emmett proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Local #1199 Painting and Decorating Council and a member of VFW Post #5077. Emmett was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
