Information obtained from court records of Issaquenna County, Mississippi. I am the grand-daughter of John Goodwin's brother Samuel T. Goodwin, both sons of John W. Goodwin and Ann McLaurin Goodwin who went to Raymond in 1854 from Marlboro, South Carolina.
John Laughlin/Lauchlin Goodwin born c. 1853 S. C. died 26 March 1894 as caretaker of a large ranch on Homochitto. "Estate of John L. Goodwin dec'd intestate 26 March 1894 at Homochito Plantation, Issaquena County, MS. Let. Adm. Lafayette Goodwin (called Fatia) widow, minor children: Leon, Ethel, Erma. No real estate Bond Surety. L. Herman Emil Mayer $665. final a/c 20 Sept. 1894.

7 Apr. 1894
Lelia Lafayette Goodwin bond for adm. John L. Goodwin, estate.

By 1900 Lelia enumerated as Fatia Rogan living in Mayersville operating a hotel and head of household, had children: Irma Goodwin age 9, Leon Goodwin age 13, Charly Rogan age 3 and Marvin Rogan age 1. Apparently the daughter, Ethel had also died. Fatia and daughter Irma were in Washington County, MS in 1910 then in Phillips County, AR in 1920 and not found after that. One of the Rogan sons went to Shelby County, TN, I heard from a descendant, some information given, other promised but never heard any more.
I hope this is helpful to someone, love to hear if so.
