Olive was the beloved ferret daughter of findagrave contributor Frank Russo. Olive was a super sweet individual who was very alm and nurturing with her brothers and sisters. She was "adopted" along with her brother Harley and sister Lucy from the old "Animals and Things" pet store in Woodbridge, NJ. Olive loved to play and loved to eat our cat PoPo's catfood. In fact, Olive was the only ferret that Po would allow to eat from his dish with him. She was extremely close to my wife Joanne, who often called her Olivia. She also enjoyed being outside, whether it was in her cage or being held in our arms. She was known for being a really personable furbaby, especially with her human family. She never bit anyone in anger, and was very good at making people, and new "furbaby arrivals" feel at home. She starting suffering from adrenal cancer, which was put into remission with a procedure in early 2017. Later in the year she was diagnosed with insulinoma. Despite my best efforts, I were unable to fight back the cancer, and made the decision to let her go. She crossed over the Rainbow Bridge 4 days after Christmas and just 3 days before what would have been her 6th birthday. She is now pain free and running happily with her brother Harley, who passed over the Rainbow Bridge 6 months earlier, and her sister Lucy, who passed in 2019. Olive will always be a special soul whom we will never, ever forget, and whom I one day hope to see, along with the rest of my family. We Love You Olive!
