Grace A. Lovell, age 79, of Elwood passed away peacefully in her home following an extended illness on Monday, November 22, 2021.
Grace was born in Elwood on April 8, 1942, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Stevens) Kennedy.
Grace married Carroll E. "Sonny" Lovell on June 3, 1967, and he passed away on June 22, 2015
For many years Grace was a bookkeeper for Butcher Feed Company and Chegar Manufacturing. She also supported her husband, Sonny, with managing two local businesses in Elwood. Grace was a member of the Torch Bearer Beta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. In her spare time, she would watch her favorite television shows, the Hallmark Movie channel, the Golden Girls, and Murder She Wrote. In her later years, Grace kept her mind sharp completing word search puzzles. Her family takes comfort in knowing that Grace did things her way and left this earthly world on her terms.
Grace leaves behind a living legacy of her loving son, Chris (wife Tamara) Lovell; three grandchildren, Colin Lovell, Kennedy Lovell, and Kayleigh Lovell; sister, Michele (husband Charles) Loser; and several in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Dunnichay Funeral Home has been entrusted with Grace's cremation arrangements. A celebration of Grace's life will be announced in the spring.
