Brooke Nicole Baxter, 16, was taken from us on July 4, 2007. Brooke was born on May 23, 1991. She is survived by her parents Rex and Carol Baxter, her sister Lyndsey Baxter, her Papa, Marvin Pigg, and uncle Chris Pigg, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her grandma, Delores (Peery) Pigg, grandpa Edward Baxter, grandma Hazel Baxter and great granny Anna (Sloan) Peery. Brooke always looked at the bright side of life. She was a goal-oriented determined individual that always strived towards excellence. The energy that she put forward in everything she did was amazing. Her love of softball and dancing was well known by all. It was the small things that Brooke did that meant so much to many of us. Brooke's smile will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2007, at the Excelsior Springs High School Performing Arts Center. The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday July 8, 2007, at the Polley Funeral Home Excelsior Springs, Mo. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery Excelsior Springs, Mo. The family suggests donations be made to the Brooke Baxter Memorial Fund to be given to various organization in her memory. Services under the direction of Polley Funeral Home Excelsior Springs, Mo., (816) 630-3388.
