J.C. Brown, age 80, of Rock Spring passed away Monday, September 23, 2019.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Snider Brown; parents, William Jess Brown and Velma Shepherd Brown; and sister, Irene Barrett.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Joel) Jackson of Ringgold; stepson, Kevin (Tina) Williams of Lancaster, Calif.; grandchildren, Nikki, Nicholas, Monica, and Rachel; special granddaughter, Leah; great grandchild, Cooper; siblings, Willie Jo Leigh and James (Kathy) Brown of LaFayette, Wayne Brown of Rock Spring, Ernest (Brenda) Brown of Rocky Face, Barbara (Harvel) Neyman of Centre, Ala., and Vernon (Pam) Brown of Rock Spring; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2019 in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Al Johnson officiating.
Interment at LaFayette Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers are Gary and Jerry Barrett, Tony McNeese, Bryan Hucklebee, Matthew and Scott Brown.
Honorary pallbearers are Aaron Green and Malcolm Pickle.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
