He began his Law career at the Law Offices of McKenna, Connor & Cuneo in downtown Los Angeles. He later became a Paralegal Assistant at the Law Offices of Belin & Rawlings in Brentwood.
He attended the Talbot School of Theology at Biola University in La Mirada and received his Master of Divinity degree in 1995. He was Ordained as a Minister of the Gospel in December 1996 at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Los Angeles by his father. In March of 1997, he was Ordained as a Minister of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) by Bishop B. E. Underwood in Palmdale, California. He was named Senior Pastor of Calvary Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church in November of 1997, he served until resigning in December of 2012. Hill was the first African American to served on the Conference Board of IPHC. He was elected as Senior Pastor of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Los Angeles, where his father had Pastored for 42 years. In January of 2013, he founded the Spirit of Zion Fellowship Church in North Hollywood, as a satellite Ministry of Mount Zion.
He was married to Tisa Atchison Hill for 28 years.
