LEAGUE CITY - John W. Severns, 62, an operator at Briggs Manufacturing, died Monday at Humana Hospital in Webster.

Graveside services will be 2 :p.m. today at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Houston, the Rev. Michael Robinson officiating.

Burial will follow under the direction of Jack Rowe Funeral Home in League City.

Born Feb. 12, 1923 in Gatesburg, ill., Mr. Severns was a former president of Addington, Ill., and had been a resident of League City for seven years.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Severns of League City; one son, Jerry Bodfield of Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters, Betty Jo Retzlaff of League City and Sandy Rock of Panama, Neb.; and 11 grandchildren.
