He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Tom was a retired dental lab technician, and the former owner and operator of the Jackson Dental Lab in DeSoto. He was member of First Baptist Church of DeSoto where he served as a trustee, a choir member, and as a past music director. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, working outdoors, playing piano, and helping people anyway he could and was often tinkering and fixing things for his family, friends, and neighbors. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Joan (Keyton) Jackson and three children, Dr. Thomas S. Jackson, Jr., Mildred “Millie” Starwalt, and Cindie Breeze. He was also preceded in death by his brother Bill and his sister Betty. He is survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and many dear friends.
