Ryan Douglas Nobles, 36, passed away suddenly in the early hours on September 9th from complications of Type-1 Diabetes. It was a complete shock to friends, family, and community devastating us all. He had struggled with Diabetes since he was eight years old and never seemed to be able to master it. He had numerous health problems over the years, several close calls, but was doing exceptionally well the past several years.

Ryan was born July 24th, 1982, in Hattiesburg, MS and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Jones Junior College and worked as the Office Manager of Petal Presbyterian Church. Ryan loved his family, friends, animals, and his many vehicles. The CJ-7 Jeep was always his heart. He could charm the skin off a snake with his smile and made everyone happy. His infectious laugh would win over even the most jaded or cynical person. His life was not always easy, but he never let it affect his quality of life. He lived his short life to the fullest.

Ryan is survived by his mother and father, Robin and Doug Nobles of Hattiesburg; his maternal grandfather, Jack T. Roderick of Poplarville; his younger brother, Lance R. Nobles; his younger sister, Crystal Nobles, of Houston, TX; one niece, Breeanna, and two nephews, Petey and Troy; his beloved Aunt Debbie and Uncle Ronnie Smith, of Ocean Springs; his Uncle Ralph Nobles and wife Ava, of Poplarville; and Uncle Randy Roderick and the third wife, of Hattiesburg. Ryan is also survived by numerous cousins. Last but not least, his beloved cat Tommy and dog Della May.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, E. Johnny and Ruby Nobles, and maternal grandmother, Betty J. Roderick.

Ryan made it clear in advance he wanted no wake or funeral. Our family disagrees with mourning in public so please respect his and our wishes and privacy. A memorial will be held among an intimate group of friends and family at a date to be announced. Instead, celebrate Ryan’s life and love of animals by donating to the Hattiesburg Humane Society in his name. His Facebook page will always remain open as a remembrance to him. Feel free to post your memories, love, and future condolences.
