James Floyd Johnson, 90, born January 3rd, 1926, in Knox Fork, Kentucky went to be with the Lord and join his beloved wife Annalee on October 29, 2016.

He was a patriot serving his country in WWII in the 101st and 82nd Airborne and participated in the second wave of the Invasion of Normandy.

He survived to become a most beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and brother. His loyalty and love for his family was incomparable as was his skills as a master builder. A good soul that loved to fish, play checkers, drink beer, play pool and watch the Cubs, spending his last evening cheering them on in the World Series.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, wife, daughter Stephanie Kathryn Johnson, son Scott Johnson, daughter in law Akiko Johnson, and his 12 brothers and sisters. Surviving are his son, James S. Johnson (wife Julie) of Shelbyville, Amie Johnson of Luray, Kansas, Richard Johnson (wife Lorraine) of Lebanon, BeAnn Younker (husband Todd) of Lafayette, 14 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren and 2 on the way.

Visitation and celebration of life services will be November 5th at Shelbyville Community Church, 720 N 325E, in Shelbyville from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Celebration of Life Service starting at 4:oo p.m. Dinner to follow.

Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post No. 70, 1125 S. Miller Avenue, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.
