C. Blanche Linn, 109, of Shippensburg, departed this life peacefully on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at her home.

She was born on April 27, 1910, in Mongul, the daughter of the late John and Florence (Gruver) Hoch.

Blanche was a homemaker throughout her life and also worked for her mother at the former Mom Hoch’s Restaurant in her younger years. She had a strong faith in God and was a very active member of the Shippensburg First Church of God. Blanche was a great cook and an even better baker, known for her delicious pies, cakes, cookies, and candies. She would feed just about anyone who came by to visit. Blanche also loved working in the flower beds around her home, sewing, and making stuffed animals.

She was always a very strong willed, independent, and positive person. Blanche never liked to complain and took life in stride when dealing with the ups and downs of living such a long and fruitful life. She will be remembered as a loving and caring person who very much enjoyed caring for others.

She is survived by one son, Harry R. Boher of San Jose, CA; eight grandchildren, Beverly Boher, Barbara (Boher) Martin, Bobbi Jo (Boher) Tilley, Roger “Skip” Boher, Jr., William “Bill” Grove, Richard Tominello, Greg Tominello, and Jaison Schafer; many great and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Blanche was preceded in death by her first husband, Roger S. Boher; second husband, Homer H. Linn; two sons, Roger L. Boher and Larry H. Linn; two step-sons, William and James Linn; two step-daughters, Beatrice Wenner and Ann Abrams; two grandchildren, Robert L. and Richard R. Boher; and her brother, Harry Hoch.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, October 7, 2019, at the Shippensburg First Church of God. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shippensburg First Church of God at 121 East King Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
