Helen M. Aliberti Gaudett, age 95, of Shelton, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Sarno, Italy on February 3, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Gelardo and Adeline Adiletta Aliberti. Before her retirement Mrs. Gaudett was a waitress for many years. She was devoted to her family and was a great cook. Helen enjoyed traveling, cruising with her family and spending time with her dog Kayla. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother and will be missed by all. Survivors include her three children, a brother, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was pre deceased by two daughters, Delores Vaiskauckas and Geraldine Hoag, a sister, Connie Manente, three brothers, Nunzio, Carmen, Al and Ralph, and two sons-in-law, Michael Leka and Thomas Vaiskauckas. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Margaret Mary Church, 50 Donovan Lane, Shelton, on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
