Mrs. Clydia Mae Jones, 91, of Elon passed away at the Hospice Home on Thursday, October 3, 2019.

A native of Stanly County, she was the wife of the late John Boyd Jones and the daughter of Crawford Poplin and Dorothy Morgan Poplin, both deceased. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Jones and his wife Donna, Gary Jones and his wife Teresa and Keith Jones and his wife Terri; seven grandchildren, Danielle, Heather, Dustin, Brent, Matt, Amber and Carlye; and fifteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, John Walter Jones (Chip), one great-grandson, Jayme; and eight siblings.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 pm on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:15 pm prior to the funeral service. At other times the family will be at the residence of her son, Keith Jones. The committal service will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
