Alice I. Rogers, 86, of Irvington, N.J., passed away peacefully on Sept. 30, 2019.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at South Orange Vailsburg Methodist Church, 150 South Orange Ave., South Orange, N.J., on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 11 a.m. Interment is at Rosedale Cemetery, Montclair, N.J. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, visit prestonfuneralhome.net.

Alice was born in New Adelphi in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, West Indies. She lived in England for 15 years before moving to Irvington, N.J. Alice was a registered nurse with Essex County Hospital in Cedar Grove, N.J. for over 20 years before retiring in 1998.

Alice is survived by her four children, Marjorie Hadley, Innica Humphrey, Hyacinth Tyson-King, and Sidney Toussaint; nine grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.
