Rose Anna Simpson was united in marriage to Jeremiah "Jerry" Franklin Gallagher on January 8, 1885, in Hannibal, Marion County, Missouri. Jerry went missing on April 27, 1919. At the time he was 58 years old. He had been working as a switch tender for the Kansas City Terminal Company.

She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Clara Van Pelt of Omaha, Mrs. Agnes McDonnell of 2222 Richardson Ave. in Kansas City, Kansas., and Mrs. Alletha Hayes of the home; and two sons, Frank Gallagher of St. Louis and James William Gallagher of 620 Everett in Kansas City, Kansas.
