Henry J. Kauth, 51, of 23 Lincoln St., Waverly, NY, a native Roman, died early this morning at his home after a short illness.
Survivors are his wife, the former Georgiana Ellinger, whom he married in St. Mary's Church on June 1, 1933; a brother, Warner H. Kauth, and a sister, Mrs. William Kernan, both of Rome.
Mr. Kauth was born on Aug. 23, 1906, in Rome, son of Henry W. and Margaret Warner Kauth.
He was graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1923 and later from Clarkson College of Technology at Potsdam.
He was a director of research for the Schenectady Varnish Co. for five years, moving to Waverly in August 1945, where he founded the Viking Resin Products Co.
Mr. Kauth was a member of St. James Church, the Knights of Columbus, Fire Dept. and Hose Co., all of Waverly; the Rome Lodge of Elks. He was a director of the Tioga County General Hospital in Waverly and was associated with the Guthrie Clinic of the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, Pa.
