Jeanette D. Lemanski, age 79, of Madison Heights, formerly of Ubly, passed away October 18, 2018. She was born on June 16, 1939 in Parisville, Michigan; daughter of John and Minnie (nee Glaza) Shemka, Sr. Jeanette graduated from Ubly Community Schools; Class of 1957. She met Eugene J. Lemanski while working as a waitress in Ubly. They were united in marriage in the summer of 1959; they spent 21 loving years together as husband and wife until his death in 1980.

While living in Detroit, Jeanette worked for a brief time at BCBS. After moving back to Ubly she worked in Administration for Huron Memorial Hospital. Jeanette later went to work as a customer service rep with Henkel Corp in Madison Heights until 2002. Later she kept herself busy as a cashier at Meijer until 2014. Throughout her life though the job she loved most was that of homemaker. Jeannette was a wonderful cook and liked canning. She enjoyed gardening, her beautiful flower gardens were the love of her life. She also enjoyed walking, bike riding, and travelling, especially to Florida. She had great fun polka dancing and attending polka festivals and parties.

Jeanette is survived by her loving children, Carol Graham, Jerry Lemanski, and Anne Lemanski; her longtime companion, Rich Truszkowski; her brother, Laverne (Mary) Shemka; her grandchildren, Kyle Graham, Makenzy Graham, Jacob Lemanski, and Amanda Lemanski; and her great grandson, Ryker Goldsmith. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and 3 siblings.
