"Betty" was my mother in law. She died 9 months before I met her son.
I know when she met her husband, she was a "Rosie the Riviter" and he was the one who got to train her and was impressed by her spunk.
The had four children Betty Lou. Thomas, Sharilee and Allan.
She was also an avid crafter and could make anything- I've seen MANY of her items and they all have her unique flair.
She was a diabetic and had lost toes and eventually a foot because of it. She was sitting on the sofa and asked her husband to get her another cup of coffee. When he came back into teh room, he saw her slumped over- having had a massive stroke.
She was alive but in a comotose state. she was kept on life support until all her family was there to say good bye. My husband was there alone with her when the machines went off and she went to her reward.
Harvey loved and missed her so much, He was still wearing shirts she had made him and some of her things were still in the house until he went to join her.
I don't know much about her but I know she lived by her life by her own rules and liked things "just so". Never got to meet her but I hope she would have approved.
