Mr. Robert (Bob) Bowman, 79, surrounded by his family, passed from this life on Tuesday afternoon, October 8, 2019 from the Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. He was born September 3, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Livingston Academy and attended Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN. He served his country, reaching the rank of Captain in the Army National Guard.

Bob was a Master Mason. He enjoyed fishing, wood working, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He attended Fairfield Glade Baptist Church. He quietly lived out his faith with a generous spirit, kind heart and a willingness to help those in need.

He leaves his beloved wife of 55 years, Nancy Cantrell Bowman of Memphis, TN; son, William Bowman (Michelle) of Cumming, GA; daughter, Sharon Voehringer (Pete) of Memphis, TN; grandsons Ryan Voehringer, Aaron Voehringer, Andrew Bowman and granddaughter Kaitlyn Bowman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Eva MacGillivray Bowman and his brother, Don Bowman.

Funeral Services for Mr. Bowman will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 12, 2019 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Nolan Cantrell will officiate. Burial to follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 12 Noon until time of services at Speck Funeral Home.
