Laura Faye Smith was born on April 22, 1936, in Craig County, Oklahoma to parents, Charles and Kate Smith. She passed away in on October 9, 2019 in Live Oak, Texas at the age of 83. Laura Faye Ball grew up in a small farming community of Chetopa, Kansas. She graduated from Chetopa High School in 1954. She married Eddie Ball, Jr. in 1956. She lived the life of an Air Force wife and was happily married for 53 years until the death of her husband in 2009. Laura and her family moved to Schertz in 1970. She loved traveling the United States and succeeded in seeing every state except Alaska and Hawaii. She loved sewing, baking and loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always put others before herself. Laura is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Kate Smith; brother, Marvin Smith; sisters, Freda Younger and Marie Dresher and niece Melanie Westall. She is survived by her siblings, daughters, grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
