He was co-founder and chairman for Overhead Door Co. and a member of Knights of Columbus Bishop Spalding Council 2761 and Knights of Columbus Boat Club.

Survivors: his wife, the former Dorothy Flood; a son Steven W. Abby; a daughter Lisa Ann Palmer and Dina Abby Jones; a sister, Mildred Tross; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesaday, St. Leonard Catholic Church, 440 Zorn Ave. Burial: Calvary. Visitation: Highlands, 3331 Taylorsville Road, 6-9 p.m. Monday and 2-9 p.m. Tuesday.
